Fantastic….love the detail. My great- Grandmother is Elizabeth Adams (Shield) and lived to 104 yrs. I can’t imagine the amount of research done on this so well done and thankyou.
Dear Sue, Thanks to you I now know the circumstances of my great great grand mother’s,Julia Adelaide Andrews (nee Shield/ Martin), birth. I didn’t even know her mother’s maiden name. Your efforts are much appreciated.
I’m so glad you found it helpful. Julia Adelaide was baptised at Alveston on 8 Sep 1833 as Hannah SHEIL, daughter of Hannah Marton, single woman. Thomas Shield and Hannah Martin didn’t marry until 6 Mar 1845 also at Alveston.
