There would appear to be various baptisms for John Cratchley in the area but these need to be properly checked in the register:

A John Cratchley married Anne Heaven at Frocester on 20th August 1727. They had at least four sons and a daughter who were baptised at Randwick between 1730 and 1742 and these include Richard Cratchly. In 1737 this family was living in Stonehouse.

There are also further children of a John Cratchley baptised at Randwick after that date but we cannot be sure whether these are the same family.

From the I.G.I. the Heaven Family can be traced back in Frocester to the middle of the seventeenth century:

William Heaven married Edith Harrod at either Frocester or Frampton on 26th January 1653. They had a son John Heaven who was baptised on 4th September 1664 at Frocester. He married Maria Chapman at Frocester on 28th March 1695. They had at least two children namely John who was baptised at Frocester on 7th November 1699 and Anne who was baptised at Frocester on 21st August 1705. Anne may be the wife of John Cratchley.

They had at least four sons and a daughter who were baptised at Randwick between 1730 and 1742 and these include Richard Cratchly. In 1737 this family was living in Stonehouse.

There are also further children of a John Cratchley baptised at Randwick after that date but we cannot be sure whether these are of the same family.

FRANCES BIRD, Great IV Grandmother of Richard Barton

Daughter of Richard Cratchley and Mary (nee Niblet)

Wife of Joseph Bird

Mother of Mary Brown

Also Mother of Charlotte, Elizabeth, Joseph, Deborah and James

There is a baptism of a Frances, daughter of Richard and Mary Chratchley (sic) at Randwick on 14th July 1765.

Frances Cratchley was probably the daughter of Richard Cratchley and his wife Mary Niblet who married on 19th August 1760 at Stonehouse.

Frances Cratchley married Joseph Bird by licence at Stroud Parish Church on 1st April 1788. Frances was described as over 21 years. Her husband, Joseph, was a ‘Plaisterer’ of Stroud.

By October 1788 we find that Joseph and Frances were having a child, Charlotte, christened at Stonehouse. In later life this child stated that she was born in Ebley. In 1791 a further child, Elizabeth, was baptised at Randwick. From May 1793 until May 1796 they had probably returned to live in Stroud because both Mary and Joseph were baptised in the Parish Church there. From 1798 they were living at Eastington as their daughter Deborah was baptised in the Parish Church there on 20th October 1798.
